Aramid Fabric Manufacturer

At SAGAERT, we design and manufacture a wide range of high-strength aramid fabrics at our production facilities in France. Thanks to our industrial expertise and state-of-the-art equipment, we produce straps, tapes, braids, fabrics, and woven materials made from aramid fibers for many demanding industrial sectors, including energy, aerospace, the military, and composite materials manufacturing.

Our products, made from technical aramid fibers, are precisely tailored to each customer’s needs thanks to our complete mastery of manufacturing parameters. This ability to adapt makes SAGAERT an essential supplier for the design of technical textiles and personal protective equipment (protective clothing, bulletproof vests, etc.).

Extreme resistance (mechanical, thermal, chemical)

SAGAERT aramid fabrics are designed to offer exceptional strength under the most extreme conditions. Their properties include high resistance to heat and abrasion, as well as excellent resistance to impact and tensile stress.

Wide selection of high-performance synthetic fibers

We weave a wide variety of technical fibers: Kevlar aramid, Preox aramid, Nomex, Twaron, and Kermel. We also incorporate glass and carbon fibers to meet the demands of complex structural applications.

Weaving techniques tailored to your needs

Whether it’s twill weave, aramid satin fabric (combining tensile strength and lightness), or taffeta structures (flexibility and high heat resistance), we tailor the weave to your final product (motorcycle apparel, firefighter gear).

Compatibility with Resins (Composite Materials)

Our fabrics and textiles can be easily combined with epoxy resins to significantly enhance their strength and stiffness in engineering structures and composite parts.

Aramid Fabrics: Frequently Asked Questions

What are the properties of aramid fabric?

Aramid is a synthetic fiber known for its extremely high mechanical, thermal, and chemical resistance. Aramid fabric is exceptionally resistant to heat, fire, abrasion, impact, and tensile stress, while remaining very lightweight.

What types of aramid fibers do you use at Sagaert?

We work with the highest-performance fibers on the market: Kevlar®, Nomex®, Twaron®, Kermel®, as well as Preox and meta-aramid. We can also combine them with fiberglass or carbon fiber depending on your needs.

In which industries are your aramid fabrics used?

Our fabrics are highly sought after in demanding sectors: personal protective equipment (firefighter uniforms, heat-resistant PPE, bulletproof vests, motorcycle gear), the aerospace industry, the military, the energy sector, and the manufacture of composite parts.

What types of weaves (weave patterns) do you offer for aramid?

We use several weaving techniques in our factories: twill and satin (which offer excellent tensile strength and lightness), as well as taffeta, which is highly prized for its suppleness.
