Aramid fabrics produced by SAGAERT are designed to offer high resistance to mechanical, thermal and chemical stresses. Properties include heat resistance, abrasion resistance and excellent impact and tensile strength.
We use various types of synthetic fibers, including aramid kevlar, aramid preox, nomex, twaron, kermel, glass and carbon fibers. The latter enable the production of composite materials for structural applications.
The twill weave or satin aramid fabric provides the breaking strength and lightness ideal for motorcycle clothing, bullet-proof vests and other protective equipment. Our fabrics can be combined with epoxy resins to reinforce their strength in technical structures.
Our technical solutions also include the use of aramid meta and structures such as taffeta, known for their flexibility and high thermal resistance. This material is often used in firefighters' clothing or fire protection equipment.
Our aramid fabrics are available in a wide range of technical colors (natural, yellow, black, etc.), and can be sold by the linear meter, in rolls or pre-cut to customer specifications.
Fabrics are made from aromatic polyamide, or meta- or para-aramid, depending on the level of protection required.
We offer a wide range of weights, thicknesses and finishes, depending on the " application " in question: heat shields, fireproof equipment, technical linings, etc.
Dimensions can be adapted on request to fit in with our industrial customers' production lines.
