Tool manufacturing
Making plastic parts is very easy... as long as you have really good tools!
That is why, over the years, Sagaert Plastique has established four subsidiaries dedicated to the design and fully integrated manufacturing in France of all the tooling necessary to produce injection-molded parts to the highest standards of excellence.
Our Expertise in Tooling Manufacturing
Three factories dedicated to mold manufacturing
Molds, of course, produced across three specialized plants: the first specializes in large molds (up to 40 metric tons in weight), the second in smaller, highly technical molds that enable competitive injection molding cycle times, and the third in aluminum tools for thermoforming, compression molding, and cutting, as well as the custom manufacture of gripper hands tailored to our robots.
A factory dedicated to inspection jigs
Sagaert also operates a plant dedicated to the manufacture of sophisticated inspection jigs, which are one of the most effective ways to ensure flawless quality in plastics manufacturing—the same expertise we apply to metalworking.
Why rely on a single supplier for all your tools?
As a result, our customers deal with a single supplier—who is solely responsible for the entire project—and do not have to get involved in any potential conflicts between the injection molder and its tooling supplier. This same tooling is then used for all of our processes: plastic injection molding, overmolding, and blow molding.
Tooling Manufacturing: Frequently Asked Questions
Do you manufacture your molds in-house, or do you use a subcontractor?
Everything is manufactured in-house, in France, at our four factories dedicated to tooling. You’ll have a single point of contact, from the mold design all the way to the finished part.
What is the maximum weight of a mold you can produce?
Our factory specializing in large tools can manufacture molds weighing up to 40 metric tons, while a second factory focuses on small, highly technical molds designed for competitive injection molding rates.
Do you also offer tools for thermoforming?
Yes, our third plant manufactures aluminum tools for thermoforming, compression molding, and cutting, as well as custom grippers for our robots.
Do you also manufacture quality control templates?
Yes, one factory is entirely dedicated to manufacturing sophisticated inspection jigs, which are essential for ensuring consistent quality in mass production.
Can I ask you to maintain or modify an existing mold?
Yes, we provideservicing, maintenance, and modification of molds, even if they were not originally manufactured by us.
Can you make a prototype mold before mass production?
Yes, we produce prototype molds to validate your part before moving on to the final tooling, as well as version molds to test different variations.
How do I get started on a tooling project with Sagaert?
Contact us with your design or specifications: we’ll work with you to determine the tooling solution best suited to your part and your production volume.
