Ribbon on shuttle loom
All over the world, shuttle looms had disappeared, replaced by far more productive automatic looms.
However, an important clientele in the luxury and very high-tech sectors remains in absolute demand for very high quality ribbons and straps, with two strictly identical selvedges and a perfect appearance, even in macro-photography, that can only be achieved with "traditional" looms.
The Sagaert group, with its 24 factories in France and considerable investment capacity, has therefore had new shuttle looms remanufactured in small series (and at very high cost!!!).
