Plastic buckle
Here's how the Sagaert Group, originally a purely textile company, became a major player in plastics and mechanical engineering...
Plastic buckles, of course!
Our webbing customers, particularly in the military sector, were keen to buy top-quality buckles adapted to their technical use, and compatible with the textile specifications imposed by the authorities.
We then decided to invest in a press and molds to integrate this new activity into our textile group.
.... was a huge success, as some twenty years later, SAGAERT PLASTIQUE operates a large fleet of 100% electric injection molding machines in its five plants in France,
in tonnages ranging from 20 to 1,200 tonnes, overmoulding presses, blow-moulding machines for bottles, and...several subsidiaries manufacturing moulds and inspection jigs!
Plastic buckles have taken us to the automotive, pharmaceutical and medical markets, pallet manufacturing and household appliances...
But one never forgets one's first love, and plastic buckles and their overmolded avatars remain a major activity within the group, in constant development. The range of parts on offer is gigantic, and a distribution agreement with DUE EMME in Italy has enabled us to further extend the solutions we offer our customers in all areas of the economy.
And don't forget this little detail: 6 major strap weaving mills, all in France, all subsidiaries of our group, can offer you an infinite number of technical straps to match this buckle. The loop (!!) is thus complete!
