Bimaterial overmolding
This ugly little bi-material plastic part is in fact a concentrate of innovative technology... The central part is injected in a classic polyamide 66, but the entire periphery is made from a heat-expandable polymer.
These components are integrated into the hollow bodies of certain vehicles and, after heat treatment (during cataphoresis, for example), become large balls of dense foam that eliminate all resonance and vibration in the bodywork!
Depending on the application, Sagaert can either work directly in bi-injection, or overmold on a plastic support, or overmold this expandable material on a metal insert. It all depends on the quantity and technical result required by our customers.
In any case, we're very good at overmolding polymer onto polymer, whether by rework or direct bi-material injection.
And what we do even better is to give you total satisfaction, to design with you and then mass-produce any overmolded part you need.
