Engine Mast Seal

Description

The engine mast allows the fixation of the engines under the wings.

The mast is streamlined to minimize aerodynamic disturbances.

The airtightness of the wings is very important and contributes to the stability of the aircraft and performance (fuel consumption, etc.).

The engine masts must also be airtight at the junctions with the nacelle and with the wing.

This area is subject to enormous mechanical stresses induced by engine thrust. The deformations of the structure are quite significant.

The seals must therefore fill large gaps. As the aerodynamic surface must be as smooth as possible, the sealing will be ensured by seals with a lip on the outside.
