Empennage Seals

Description

The empennage ensures the stability, elevator and drift of the aircraft.

Drift stabilization is provided by the vertical stabilizer, called the vertical stabilizer rudder.

The elevator stabilization is given by the horizontal stabilizer.

These elements include mobile parts allowing to control the balance of the aircraft and to pilot it.

These seals are very specific because they must participate to a perfect aerodynamic surface and resist the air flow.

The air flow can generate a flag effect leading very quickly to the destruction of the seal. To avoid this, empennage seals are often reinforced with impregnated fiberglass composite.

Our expertise in the field of composites and composite tooling allows us to offer you the product that will meet all specific requirements, including resistance to the flag effect.
