Flap seal

Description

The flaps are elements of this wing that deploy to increase the lift and decrease the stall speed.

The flaps allow you to take off and land at a lower speed, which contributes to passenger comfort and safety.

The airtightness of the wings is very important and contributes to the stability of the aircraft and to performance (fuel consumption)

The flaps must also have a seal at the junctions with the fixed wing.

The flap seals see a very specific stress since they rub a long distance on the trailing edge of the fixed wing.

The silicone seals are therefore reinforced with textile, in particular to allow easy sliding and to obtain a long service life.

Our know-how in the textile field allows us to innovate and offer you new reinforcements improving the current seals regarding mechanical and environmental stresses.
